Day 141: I don’t feel good. My agents are working anyway

I’m currently propped up on the sofa with my laptop. I have vertigo. If I sit up, the room spins. If I stand up, the room spins. But in this position, the only things spinning are my Claude Code drafting agents.

I don’t feel good, but my agents are working anyway. If all goes well, in a few hours I will have seven high-quality web page drafts with citation ledgers that link out to original sources for me to manually review and check when I feel better tomorrow.

If it doesn’t go well, I will have the same output, but the drafts will need a lot more work from my side. Both I and my system will have learned something either way.

I have four sessions open. One is a help desk in my core vault. I told it, “you own the processes, answer the other sessions’ questions and rule on the procedural topics. If you need my input, let me know.”

The second agent is orchestrating the review of six web pages it drafted last night. It handed off the seventh page to a third agent that’s running in isolation because the topic started tripping security filters and I decided to isolate it so it won’t interfere with my main orchestrator.

And the fourth is helping me with this diary entry. I’m dictating and editing in Obsidian and once I’m happy with it, the agent will upload it to my blog. I’ll do the LinkedIn paste myself and the agent will update my Airtable content tracker.

I told the other sessions, “if you have a problem, don’t bother me, contact the help desk directly.”

That’s what it sometimes looks like to work with an agentic system like mine. I invested a lot of time and brain power to fine-tune the details that tell the agents what they’re doing and how, so on a day like today, work can go on. It’s also fun.
