The Julie Kaiser newsletter

The newsletter

A letter every week or so, on using AI without losing your judgment, your voice, or your credibility – from a science writer who checks.

A letter every week or so

What I built, what broke, what it cost, and what I’d tell a smart, busy person to try next. Written by me with help from Claude – or whichever agent I’m using that week. Checked by me, sent when there’s something worth your time.

Why this list is worth your inbox

I read the hype so you don’t have to, and I only send what survived contact with my actual work. I’m a science writer for regulated biotech and pharma clients – I don’t get to be wrong in my day job, and I bring the same standard here. Every issue ships with receipts: a screenshot, a file, a number, a mistake.

No tool-of-the-week roundups. No countdown timers. Nothing I haven’t run on my own real work. And I won’t email you to stay visible – if a week has nothing worth your time, you don’t hear from me, and that’s the promise working, not failing.

You can reply to any issue. I read replies, and “here’s where I’m stuck” is my favorite kind – it’s where half my content comes from.
